Caspio has released an update to its plugin for Microsoft Office, now supporting Microsoft Office 2010 64-bit. This update came as a result from requests by Caspio customers inside our Ideabox community. (If you are a Caspio user and haven’t joined the Ideabox site – we encourage you to do so. It is a great way to have your voice heard inside the Caspio community, and a great way for us to learn how to best prioritize our platform roadmap to meet customer needs.)
The 32-bit version of the plugin has been available for many years. The Microsoft Office Plugin enables you to simply and easily build a connection between your Caspio-powered online databases, and your desktop MS Office applications like Access and Excel. This plugin is a great method for quickly bringing live data to your local computer, for tasks and other data-centric activities best done locally. For example, customers use the plugin for performing analysis on their online data in Excel format, or for doing mail/email merge with Excel and Outlook or Word.
Adding the plugin for Office 2010 64-bit is a simple process. This handy guide can walk you through the process. All All you need to do is download the plugin and follow the simple steps to begin linking your Caspio data and your Office applications. Please note, the APIs add-on must be active in your account to add the Office Plugin.
