We have released a ready-to-publish data set with the latest crime data for the largest U.S. cities. The data was retrieved from the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program and we prepared an interactive web interface to allow public users to search and interact with the information. The app can be seamlessly embedded on any website, blog, or CMS with just a copy-and-paste.
This data set includes violent and property crimes reported in cities over 100,000 people, comparing the first six months of 2014 to the same period in 2013.
You can search the database by state and city to see the crime reports for participating jurisdictions.
The results page provides a ranking for users to easily see which cities had the highest crime increases or decreases in 2014 compared to the same period in 2013.
This application provides a quick-and-easy way for media and bloggers to drive traffic and engage users by sharing local crime data. Additionally, we have published many other popular data sets such as vehicle recalls, hate crimes, salary data, and university crime – all of which can be deployed immediately without further modification.
These data sets are free for existing customers (account usage fees apply). Request the data sets to be loaded into your account today.
